Testimonials:

The (…) course equipped us as participants with an essential toolkit to help foster creativity, thereafter gradually enabling us to put our expanded skills into practice through increased ownership of the activities delivered and undertaken through the course.

Kathy Humberstone (PhD researcher, Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, University of Exeter)

This course has helped me realise how a journey truly “begins from the first step”. It has taught me that sometimes the best way to overcome technical challenges that stops us from starting a new project is to just start! and that creating a new game tailored to your teaching needs is much easier than you think. I recommend this course for any educator wanting to breathe new life into existing course content.

Dominic Wiredu Boakye (PhD, Lecturer in Biomedical Science, University of Exeter)

The scope and magnitude of the experience that I had far exceeded the expectations I had. After a bit of meditation, some shouting at inanimate objects, and some semi-blind scribbling, I was utterly comfortable in the group and able to accept whatever we had been asked to do with the belief that I would gain something – no matter how tangible – from it. It is that essence which I am desperate to try and reflect back on to my students in the new academic year, and with any luck I am successful, and they have an enjoyable, engaging, and rewarding year!

Andrew Davenport (PhD, Associate Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences, University of Exeter)

After many years of teaching, I have experienced the benefits play and I will definitely make some playful changes to improve how I teach.
