The Playful University Games Library consist of a number of carefully selected commercially available games, both physical and online, that have been well proven to not only increase joy but also promote problem solving capabilities, cognitive flexibility, social competence, intellectual dexterity, individual resilience and adaptability. These important attributes are all linked with learning and can inspire a more playful approach to higher education.
These games will be available to the students through educators who can loan these from the Games Library to incorporate them in their teachings. This incorporation can be done in many ways, which will be tested, developed and promoted within the Playful University Club – for examples these games can be used as ice breakers, during break time of small group learning, within a workshop, and as a demonstration of e.g. the mechanics of problem solving, and many more.
